Richard F. Ramos II is an ordained Pastor/Elder in the Global Methodist Church and a member of the Mega-Manila Provisional Annual Conference in the Philippines. He has been appointed International Partnerships Coordinator for church planting work. Also, he has been ministering with Fil-Am communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, especially those with special needs. Richard earned his Doctor of Ministry in Evangelism from Perkins/Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and three master's degrees from the Philippines, South Korea, and the US, where he served Korean Methodist and United Methodist churches in various capacities. He got Summa Cum Laude scholastic records for his master's in South Korea. In 2002, he was awarded a full international student scholarship by Perkins/SMU for his MTS program. In 2016, his doctoral dissertation received With Honors citation.
Richard gave his whole life to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and experienced a spiritual rebirth on February 17, 1988. He is passionate about networking with churches and leaders to help advance the mission of Christ in many places and communities. He directs and promotes a ministry platform on Holistic Healing and Wellness (God's Vision of Wholeness). Richard has been the President of the Wesley Mission Foundation, Inc., based in the Philippines. Besides in-depth studies on theology, he took courses on clinical psychology and counseling and has over twelve (12) years of work experience from at least two (2) US-based healthcare organizations. He consults and receives mentorship from healthcare professionals. His research and ministry interests vary from holistic healing and wellness, faith and medicine in cardiovascular health, preaching and evangelism, clinical psychology & counseling, prayer and worship, biblical studies, history, and politics. Richard has been employed with a non-profit healthcare organization engaged in preventing and curing heart disease and stroke for over a decade. He and his wife Eva, a deaconess and preschool teacher, have been blessed with two children - John Reeve and Vea. He and his family live in Dallas, Texas. They worship and participate in ministries at First Methodist Carrollton, Texas.
